Owner & Physical Therapist

Troy Caverhill is a dedicated physical therapist and lifelong Northern Maine resident who has been serving the Presque Isle community since opening Northern Physical Therapy in 2004. After earning his Physical Therapy degree from the University of New England in 1996, Troy spent several years practicing in Southern Maine, gaining valuable clinical experience before returning home to open his own practice and serve the community he grew up in.

A Caribou native, Troy graduated from Caribou High School in 1992 and played collegiate soccer at the University of New England from 1992–1996. He earned All–New England Soccer honors in 1996, capping off an outstanding athletic career. In 2023, he was inducted into the Caribou High School Hall of Fame in recognition of his achievements both on and off the field.

Troy brings hometown values, advanced clinical training, and a genuine passion for helping patients move better, recover faster, and stay active for life


Lindsay Clairmont, MPT
Physical Therapist

Lindsay Clairmont, MPT, is a dedicated physical therapist and proud Presque Isle native. A 1996 graduate of Presque Isle High School, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in 2000 and her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2001 from the University of New England.

Lindsay began her physical therapy career in New Hampshire, where she practiced for five years before returning home. She joined Northern Physical Therapy in 2006 and has been a highly valued member of the team ever since.

Lindsay has extensive manual therapy skills, including massage and advanced myofascial release techniques such as IASTM and cupping. Her clinical interests include post-surgical rehabilitation, postural rehabilitation, and the treatment of neck pain and headaches. She is committed to providing individualized, compassionate care that helps her patients restore movement, reduce pain, and return to the activities they love


Ashlee Harris, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant

Ashlee Harris is a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant and a dedicated member of the Northern Physical Therapy team. A 2019 graduate of Central Aroostook High School, she earned her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from the University of Maine at Presque Isle in 2021 and has been serving patients at NPT since graduation.

Ashlee is certified in fascial cupping therapy, a technique that helps:

  • Reduce trigger points
  • Improve circulation
  • Release scar tissue
  • Promote mobility and range of motion

She is committed to helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals through hands-on care, personalized treatment plans, and a compassionate approach.


Alyssa Burba Office Manager

Alyssa Burba joined Northern Physical Therapy in December 2024 and serves as the clinic’s Office Manager. A graduate of Presque Isle High School, Alyssa went on to earn her degree in Business Administration from Northern Maine Community College.

Before joining the NPT team, she worked for three years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the local hospital, gaining valuable experience in patient care, communication, and healthcare operations—skills she brings to her role each day.

Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys baking and cooking, curling up with a good book, and spending time with her pets—her two dogs, Autumn and Ruby, and her cat, Piper.
